I adopted Mabel at 5 months old in March 2022. She was the dog I never knew I needed. She is funny, loveable, and the most sociable dog there is! She loves everyone and every dog, she loves sniffing every single smell and absolutely adores a big brother Ewen, a 3 year old rescue border collie.

A typical week for Mabel looks like hanging out with her gang of dog friends, complaining that her food isn’t coming fast enough and that she deserves more pets, playing, training, and going on great adventures at the beach, in the mountains, the forest.. you name it she’s done it!

Since she’s been with me she has started mantrailing, gun dog training, agility and scent work. She is a very busy gal but she absolutely loves it. Gotta keep the beagle thinking!

Coming from having had border collies and shepherds mix my whole life, a beagle was quite a learning curve but I have learnt to listen to the beagle, and the beagle has learnt to listen to me! She has taught me to be patient and appreciate every little things, she is pure joy and happiness and I feel immensely grateful to share my life with such a wonderful dog.

A highlight of my year with Mabel was realising a life-long dream of mine: riding a horse with my dogs in the mountains. I am so glad I was able to share this dream with her.

Adopting a dog is a privilege, they have a thirst for life that is incredible to watch, and earning their trust is an incredible gift, if you can open your home to a dog in need, do it! It will change your life and theirs for the better!
