We absolutely love using Amazon Wishlist as a charity! It’s been a lifesaver for us over the years, especially when we need something urgently, like laundry detergent or other essential supplies.
But what’s even better is that our wonderful supporters can easily donate items that we really need through our wishlist.
It’s so much easier for them to identify what we require at any given time, rather than guessing what we might need.
So, we just wanted to say a big thank you to Amazon for providing such a fantastic tool that makes it easier for our supporters to help us out.
We really appreciate it, and it’s wonderful to see so much kindness and generosity from our community.
A little story about how Amazon Wish List really does make a difference…
Our charity has greatly benefited from the use of Amazon’s wish list, particularly in the realisation of our dream of having an on-site veterinary clinic – Whitefield Vets.
We were awarded a £50k grant from Support Adoption for Pets, which allowed us to build the clinic. However, the cost of the necessary equipment was far beyond the amount of the donation.
Fortunately, we discovered Amazon’s wish list, which proved to be an amazing tool for fundraising.
We created a list of veterinary equipment we needed, ranging from small items like scissors and operating tools, which cost only a few pounds, to big items like operating tables, which cost around £1000 each.
We shared the list on social media, and the response was overwhelming.
Within weeks, we received everything on our wish list and even more! We were amazed at the support we received and the generosity of people who donated items rather than cash. It demonstrated that creating a list of specific items that we needed made a significant difference in achieving our goal of providing the best possible care for our animals.
As a small and transparent charity, we want to give our supporters the confidence that their donation will be put towards the care of our animals, which is our top priority.
Whenever we need specific items quickly, we share our wishlist on social media and ask for support. So, keep an eye out for our special appeals and please share them with your friends and family.
