Ted’s Happy Tail

We got Ted on 7th October 2021 from NCAR. A year to the day after we lost my father in law .

We had had an awful year in 2020. Lost lots of members of our family and also our beloved dog ‘Poppy’ who also was an NCAR rescue. She gave us 11 wonderful years xx

We had a huge hole in our family that needed someone special to fix our hearts…. Then along came Ted, a big black , bouncy labradoodle !

When we got the phone call from Louise , I was ecstatic ! She said ‘I think we have a dog here that may be suitable , come and meet him’
We went the next day!

We loved him from the start. He looked very sorry for himself,  but as soon as he was in that play area he was bounding everywhere!

He’s been hard work at times and we’ve gone through MaNY pairs of slippers and socks! He’s getting better at following the rules but he’s still in his terrible twos stage .

He loves to play ball and chase with other dogs when he goes to doggy daycare . He’s a very sociable boy and loves cuddles.

He loves the beach and running in the sea , lying down in streams on hot days ( and cold days!) and has been super excited by all the snow!

When picking up Ted, I gave Louise a card and a bag that said ‘Who rescued who ? ‘ because he really did help mend our hearts.

Thank you NCAR.
