NCAR update – 1st October 2020

As from Thursday 1st October at 6pm North Clwyd Animal Rescue are having to make the following changes to safeguard the rescue.

Due to the new guidelines announced by the welsh government we can only rehome in Flintshire and unfortunately customers who live outside Flintshire will be unable to travel to the rescue.

Onsite at NCAR – we ask that you please follow our safety guidelines when visiting the site.

  • please wear a face mask at all times
  • Please wash your hands and santitze regularly
  • Please respect the 2m social distancing
  • Please be patient we are working with a reduced team and we are very busy
  • Please pay by card where possible

The Rescue – We are only open for appointments only – if you are looking to adopt an animal please follow our procedure.

We ask that you visit our website -www.ncar.org.uk and fill in a ‘apply to adopt’ form. We will be in touch with you if we have a suitable pet for your needs.

Please bear with us we are working with a small team and we receive so many applications everyday. If you do not hear from us then please keep looking at our website and reapply for another animal.

Unfortunately we can only rehome in Flintshire at this time but if you live outside this area then you still can still follow the procedure above, and  if we have an animal that is suitable we will contact you and discuss your situation.

The Cafe – Doris’s Bunker will remain open (this will be reviewed weekly) we do ask that you follow our guidelines

  • we are now table service only, so please wait to be seated
  • please wear a face mask, once seated you can remove it
  • Please sanitize your hands
  • Please use the track and trace app and fill out our book
  • You will only be able to sit with people within your household and no more than 6 people, you cannot form a extended bubble of multiple households, however you can sit outside with mixed households but no more than 6 people

The Charity shops – we will remain open but please ensure you are wearing a face mask, use of hand sanitizer, follow the one way systems in the shop and follow the donation procedures

Mold  Closed – Monday and Tuesday

Denbigh  Closed -Thursday and Saturday

Holywell Closed – Wednesday and Saturday

Abergele  Closed – Monday

Prestatyn open as normal

We will be able to do arranged collections but only when items can be placed outside the properties. As we are unable to go inside houses.

Volunteers– we are currently working only with a small group of experienced volunteers as we have to keep our site safe with reduced amount of people.  We regret that we can not have any new volunteers at this time.
