Kaylyn & Simon’s Static 24 hour Row Challenge

We are so proud of Simon and Kaylyn for completing their 24hr challenge on Llandudno prom this weekend. It was an amazing achievement and they did so well. They didn’t even look tired at the end!

It was a wonderful weekend and everyone loved joining in too.

We did really well over the weekend with the NCAR stall and donations and managed to raise a further £1244.91 over the two days.

We would like to thank everyone for your support and encouragement for these boys!
And to everyone involved behind the scenes to make it all happen!

Congratulations and thank you now go and have a well deserved rest and here’s to the next challenge in the future. 🐾

The total amount to date is £2684.91 and we hope we can continue and show our appreciation to these amazing guys!

Please dig deep and lets raise lots of money to support them in completing this tough challenge.

And remember that we receive NO government funding. We can only continue our work with animals in need due to the people who generously donate, volunteer and work hard fundraising such as Kaylyn and Simon.

About Kaylyn and Simon

SIMON

I like the idea of challenging myself, and when Kaylyn mentioned he wanted to do a 24-hour charity row I thought it would be a good thing to do.

I like the idea of doing the right thing and helping people. This row combines both, helping people care for the animals that have a need for help.

Donations help NCAR to continue to do their good work. I myself have a rescue dog and would not be without her.

KAYLYN

Not entirely sure how the idea of challenging for the British Static Rowing 24hr Record first came to light, I vaguely recall it was around Lockdown.

Fast forward a few years and after a conversation with my dear friend Simon – something to do with missed athletic opportunities from our youth – the Row Challenge was created.

Both of us are fiercely competitive, love training (most of the time) and are passionate about Animal Welfare.

1’m a proud vegan of 12+ years and own dogs adopted from rescue centres.

This seemed a perfect opportunity to combine raising funds for NCAR whilst challenging ourselves to undertake something we both felt that we may have missed out to in the past.

A big thank you to everyone below
