On Sunday 10th March at 4pm we will be holding an event in Doris’s Bunker to explain about our fostering scheme.

We often get animals at the rescue who can not cope with kennel life and we look to find foster homes for them. They may be dogs who find it stressful to have so many other dogs around them, dogs or cats who have medical needs, or very elderly animals who really can not cope with kennel life at their age.
We need both short and long term foster homes for both cats and dogs. Some dogs benefit from a weekend away from kennels while they wait for their forever home. When we reach kitten season, we look to put mums and kittens into foster homes so that the kittens can be raised in a home environment for their first weeks, before coming back in to the rescue for re homing.
A lot of the dogs that we look to find foster homes for, are best suited to somewhere without other dogs or cats, and with teenagers or without children, although we do occasionally get dogs in that are used to living with other dogs and cats but need a foster home for medical reasons.
If you would like to find out more about our fostering scheme, why not join us in Doris’s Bunker on 10th March at 4pm. We will have one of our fosterers, Chris with us so you can have a chat to her about what it is like to be an ncar fosterer. If you would like to join us, please email me, debbie@ncar.org.uk, so that we have an idea of numbers.
Many thanks, and hope to see you there x
