Tyler is a small male Staffie who arrived at the rescue as a stray and sadly wasn’t claimed by his owners. Due to him being a stray, we don’t know anything about his background or previous home, and we are estimating him to be around 4 years old. He is a friendly boy who loves meeting new people and being out and about on walks, exploring his surroundings. Here at the rescue he does rag the lead a bit, but we think in a calmer home environment he will not show this behaviour, and we can advise on this if he does as we have started working with him and he is already showing improvements. Here at the rescue he has met a couple of dogs, and doesn’t seem to know how to interact. He has walked fine with them but when it comes to being face to face he becomes unsure and tends to move away. He is looking for a home as the only pet where he can have all of the attention to himself. He is quite a needy boy, so we think a home where he won’t be left alone for long periods of time will suit him best. He is very people orientated and has been very friendly with everyone that he has met since his arrival. He loves his food, but does guard bones/high value treats so care around these must be taken. We feel he is best suited to a home with dog-savvy sensible teenagers aged 14+ who can get involved with his care, but also respect his space if he needs it. Overall Tyler is a sweet lad, who we are sure will make an amazing addition to the right home. 🙂
