Roxy is a lovely girl who is looking for a new home after her owners put her in boarding kennels and never came to collect her. She is medium to large in size and is very sweet once she knows you, it is evident that she hasn’t had the training and socialisation that she should have recieved when younger resulting in her being wary of new people, however with a calm approach and treats she comes around to new people quickly but can take a bit longer with men. She is looking for an active adult only home with people that are willing to be dedicated to her ongoing training and socialisation so that she can continue to progress and grow in confidence. We are still assessing her around other dogs, but for now she is looking for a home without other animals. Once she is comfortable with you she is a really loving, affectionate and playful girl who loves company – we know she has masses of potential and we really hope a suitable home comes along soon for her. Anyone interested in Roxy will need to come up to the rescue a number of times to build a bond and get to know her before taking her home, and as with all of our dogs full backup with our behaviour team will be available to help with her training.
