Glan yr Afon Road,
Trelogan, Nr. Holywell,
Woof! I'm an excitable lad that just needs a bit of guiding.
Age: 5 years approx
Breed: Staffy cross
- can live with older children
- is toilet trained
- can’t live with cats
Rory is such a character and we have been watching him grow since he came into our care as a stray with bad hair loss on his back most likely due to fleas.
His hair has grown back and he is a handsome brindle staffy that has so much energy! He is after a home that can cope with his energy and playfulness and will take him for plenty of walks and give him a lot of mental stimulation as well. He doesn’t fully know how to play with toys yet but we are getting there and he loves anything involving food! He can be quite strong on the lead especially when there are other people and dogs around but will require basic lead training in the home which we are working on here and will advise any potential owners.
When he first came to us he was obviously quite shy but now he loves all people he meets and is very affectionate. He may jump up with excitment and can be quite full on at times. He would be looking for a family with children over the age of 14 years.
Around dogs he was initially very scared and did not know how to behave or interact around them and would become quite vocal and panic. We have been working with him on this and he has now met a few dogs and really wants to interact but is unsure how, he does get very excited and can be quite jumpy and intrusive but he is learning. He may get quite vocal towards them still if they ignore him. He does need to be socialised in order to keep making progress around other dogs.
He really is a brilliant boy who will never give you a dull day, he just needs a home where owners will put time into socialising and teaching him in order for him to thrive.
