Misty and Luna
A double Woof Woof to you all. We are Misty and Luna the beautiful lurchers. Do you have space for one or two of us in your home??
Age: 3 years, 2 months
Sex: Female
Breed: Lurchers
Misty and Luna's Notes:
- friendly with strangers
- good on the lead
- is toilet trained
Misty and Luna originally came into the rescue when they were 8 weeks old. They were rehomed together, but sadly returned recently due to their owners ill health. We are hoping they can be rehomed together but can potentially look at rehoming them seperately. They are quite attached to each other but please consider when applying for both of them, the additional cost, training etc that is required.
Misty (smaller grey lurcher).
Luna (larger, black and white lurcher).
They are both sweet girls and will very much appeal to lurcher lovers. Misty can be a tad timid at times, but generally they are both very affectionate girls. Misty can be quite nervous with vet treatment and will need some confidence building around vet visits They will both happily ignore dogs on walks and will have limited interest in them, but we know from their previous home that they have not been walked as often recently and have had limited socialisation around other dogs. It is very important their next home are dedicated to socialising and improving their training. Misty can be a bit more reserved around dogs and can be quite timid.
Luna can be sassier then Misty, she is more playful and excited when meeting people. She can be slightly nervous and barky around other dogs, but again she needs socialising in her next home. Luna can also be nervous at the vets, but generally they are both well behaved in the home. They are both house trained, travel well in the car. They have not been let off lead so their recall will need work. Luna is generally more confident then Misty and Misty does follow and look to Luna.
We are still testing them around other dogs individually, so they do have potential to live with another dog (seperately). We will continue to assess them. They can be rehomed with children 12+ who will get involved with playtime but give them space to settle when needed.
Both girls are beautiful and lovely to spend time with and have been out walking seperately with no issues whatsoever, and we really hope their forever home will be very soon.
