Woof! My name is Minnie and I am a timid girl who arrived here as a stray after being found all on my own.. it was scary! I really hope to find my forever home soon.

Minnie is a really sweet girl who arrived here at the rescue as a stray in 2019, so she has been with us for a couple of years now with very minimal interest so we are really hoping a suitable match comes along soon. She is a lovely, affectionate and comical girl once she knows you, however she can be wary of new people and reactive to them at times if not handled correctly, we have been working on this with her ever since her arrival and she has made improvements during her stay so far. She will need people who are willing to come to the rescue quite a few times before taking her home in order to build up a bond with her.

She can be quite vocal when out on walks when she sees other dogs or certain people, so we think she’ll be happiest as the only pet in the home. We have started mixing her with more dogs recently and she is doing well but still has lots to learn. Minnie is looking for an adult only home with owners that are willing to follow our behaviour teams advice so she continues to improve. Owners that will be patient with her are essential for her to become the dog we know she can be!

Minnie has been in a foster home for a few days at a time and the feedback has been so beneficial for us to rehome Minnie. We are told, she is fully housetrained and will let you know when she wants to go out, she is happy to be left for a few hours at a time, as long as she has some toys and things to occupy her. She isn’t overly keen on travelling in the car, but we are trying to spend time with her doing short journeys to help improve this. We really hope that someone falls in love with her soon, as she has so much potential in the right home with people who can give her all the love and time she deserves.
