Kep is a lovely Border Collie who arrived at the rescue as his owner sadly passed away. He was rehomed but has been returned for showing issues when having his stomach and feet touched, he needs owners that are willing to give him lots of time and space to settle in and trust you before trying too many new things. He is a little shy and needs some time to come out of his shell, but he is very sweet once he knows you. As he is a little older, Kep is looking for a quieter home where he can enjoy his retirement and relax. He walks well on the lead and does still enjoy his walks so is looking for some who has the time to take him new places, so that he can explore at his own pace. We have found out that Kep responds better to commands in Welsh rather than in English, but he is starting to get more used to staff speaking English to him. Kep has shown to be hit and miss with dogs during his stay here at the rescue. He usually meets them with a sniff and then wants to move away and continue doing his own things. For this reason, we feel he would be better suited to a home as the only pet, where he can have all the fuss and attention to himself. Overall a friendly and independent boy who we hope won’t be with us long.
