Jack is a lovely boy who has recently been returned to us as he wasn’t getting on with the other dog in the home. He is a nervous boy who can be quite reactive to some new people when out and about. We have been working with him during his stay, and he has shown improvements already. This work will need to be continued in his new home. He is food-motivated so this helps with his training, however he can sometimes display guarding behaviours over long-lasting treats, such as bones. He would be best suited to an adult only home that is very active and that will allow him to be exercised and mentally stimulated as much as he needs. He would also be best suited as the only pet in the home as he would like all of the attention to himself. He will also need his new garden to have strong 6ft fencing as he can jump quite high. He is a sweet lad once he knows you and has a playful side. He particularly likes toys, although he will chew through soft teddy ones. It would be beneficial for his new owners to have collie experience or experience with nervous dogs, however this isn’t essential. Overall, he is a lovely boy who we hope won’t be waiting too long to find his forever home.
