Gary recently arrived with us as a stray and unfortunately no one has claimed him. He is a very handsome and intelligent boy and loves going to new places to investigate everything. He has spent lots of time off site walking and he can be fairly strong on lead, so is looking for a confident handler to do some lead training over time and teach him some basic commands as he doesn’t seem to understand much. Gary likes to do his own thing and does require time spent working on his recall, when he gets his nose onto something exciting, he ignores you and will carry on going. Since arriving with us, he has been introduced to quite a few dogs on site and seems to enjoy their company once introduced properly, but can be unsure of smaller vocal dogs, so we feel he could potentially be homed with a compatible dog of his size pending mixes go well on site. Gary does seem to have a high prey drive so we feel a home without cats or small furries is best for him. With no back ground on Gary, he is looking for a home with sensible CHILDREN 12+, that can give him some space should he need it, but also get involved with playtime and teaching new tricks.
