Amber is a lovely girl who came into our care as a stray so we unfortunately have no background information on her, she is a sweetie who loves cuddles, attention and especially playing with toys and learning new things. She was nervous on arrival but throughout her stay she has grown in confidence and come out of her shell.
She is very clever and switched on so will need a home with people that are dedicated to her ongoing training and socialisation to ensure she matures into a well-rounded adult. She will need a decent amount of daily exercise and mental stimulation like kongs + puzzle toys to help keep her satisfied. Amber is looking for a home with sensible children 12+ who are dog-savvy and will get involved in her daily routine and training.

During her stay so far she has met a couple of dogs with no issues and we feel that living with a compatible dog will benefit her but this is not essential. If she were to live with another dog it will need to be one that is friendly, sociable and willing to play with her. We will continue mixing her more during her stay with us but her socialisation with other dogs will need continuing by whoever adopts her.

Amber will thrive in an active home with people who will take her out and about on adventures, a home with people who have experience with Malinois or similar breeds is preferred but not essential, we would advise anyone interested in her to do some research on the breed prior to applying to adopt her. Amber will be a really rewarding dog to own and work with as she is so clever and willing to learn, she is both food and toy motivated which will help massively with her training.

Amber has arrived into our care with an old injury on her front right leg, our vets suspect it was broken when she was a young puppy and she never recieved the necessary treatment for it after it had happened, which has resulted in it healing on its own and looking abnormal. Our vets have consulted a specialist about it who has advised that as it is not causing her any problems at the moment then it is best being left alone for now, but if anything changes in the future then it will be re-assessed. We hope this doesn’t put people off as she is coping really well with it at the moment and it doesn’t seem to phase or restrict her in any way.

Amber and Pickwick haven’t been in our care too long and are both super friendly dogs who have both been loving people and dogs! Pickwick has already had a lot of applications so we are hopeful he won’t be with us for long however for Amber we haven’t had too many. Amber came into our care with an old break on her front leg which has “healed” itself as she did not receive the care she needed at the time. Despite this though she still loves to have a little run in the paddock making friends and keeping up with them🥰 For more information on these dogs please visit our website! #ncar #dog #animalrescue #rescuedog #rescuedogsoftiktok #dogsoftiktok #forever #love #home #adoptdontshop #adogisforlife #help #adoptadoguk #foryoupage #foryou #doglover #fyp #socialising #dogmix #dogsocialisation
